Another thing to add to the things I’ll tell my daughter: You’re allowed to be vain.

You live in a society that constantly tells you that you are worthless and ugly because of the color of your skin, your size, your hair, the shape of your nose and your eyes. You are allowed to find your own beauty, and you are allowed to revel in it.

You are allowed to love yourself, and anyone who says otherwise isn’t someone worth having in your life.
